At the Miller-Cory House Museum, docents costumed in 18th-Century attire teach children about life in early America. History

Westfield was first settled in the early 1700s, and was named a township in 1794. It became part of the newly formed Union County in 1857. Westfield changed from a township to a town in 1903.

Charles Addams, creator of the Addams Family comics, lived in Westfield. The Westfield Historical Society offers a walking tour past his home, his favorite haunts, and the house said to have inspired his Addams Family creations.
