Rye Brook NY

Rye Brook is a quaint village in Westchester County within the town of Rye. This small charming village is nestled between Port Chester, Harrison, and lies on the border of New York next to Greenwich, CT. Living in Rye Brook gives you a chance to enjoy all of the neighboring towns’ amenities and charm.


The 3.5 square mile Village of Rye Brook is comprised of working families. Its 8,300 residents enjoy tree-lined residential streets in a country-like atmosphere.

The village, known for its award-winning school district, is near the Hutchinson and Merritt Parkways and Interstates 287 and 95, and is also home to two hotels: Rye Town Hilton and Doral Arrowwood with a convention center and a well-known golf course. There are also several office complexes in Rye Brook, among them is 800 Westchester Avenue, the former headquarters of General Foods.

Between little league games, Doodle Monkey! Art & Discovery Studio, and Easte Pointe Dance, children have lots of opportunity to have extra curricular activities. A favorite spot for parents is to take their children to newly reconstructed Crawford Playground. Take a ride on a tandem swing: you sit on an adult-sized swing and pop the little one in to the bucket swing just above it. Or let two siblings swing together to their hearts’ delight.


Rye Brook has numerous parks that offer two Little League fields, seven tennis courts, five basketball courts and two playgrounds. Pine Ridge park has movie and ice cream socials on select summer evenings. Crawford Park is a 36-acre preserve with a historic mansion, playing fields and a newly-built playground. The Parks and Recreation Department maintains an artificial turf field with full-sized soccer and baseball fields.

Rye Brook is home to the Rye Ridge Shopping Center, a shopper’s paradise. There are so many wonderful boutiques in this center, such as All Dressed Up, Lester’s, Sportech, Vanilla Sky, Dusty Rose, and Z Life to name a few. For the shoe lover, Shoe-Inn is a staple, and for the jewelry lover Landsberg Jewelers is a must.


For dining, restaurants in the Rye Ridge Shopping Center offer an eclectic cuisine to choose from, including Fortina, Buddha, and Elevation Burger. On hot summer days, this same shopping center offers places like Red Mango, Starbucks, or a refreshing lemon ice from Cerbones Bakery. Take in an outdoor summer concert at Crawford Park. The Rye Arts Center has arts and music programming for all ages as well as special events.




The Village of Rye Brook was recognized in 1982 as a separate community within the Town of Rye, which was settled in 1660. Many big businesses are located in Rye Brook, such as Kraft Foods, Altria Corporation and MCI International. The village is also the home of the popular Rye Town Hilton Hotel.
