The village of Mount Kisco is home to more than 10,000 Westchester residents. Located north in the county and surrounded by Bedford and New Castle, this town acts as a hipper, more sophisticated little sister.

Mount Kisco loves its kids. There are several town-sponosred events such as Touch A Truck, a Halloween Haunted House, a pumpkin-carving contest, cookie decorating, gingerbread house building, and more. There are also several town youth programs like T-ball, martial arts, and soccer. Head indoors to Kidville, a gymnastics center for kids, or Jodi’s Gym, which has been providing children with gymnastics training since 1982. The Mount Kisco Library offers tons of children’s programming and special events.
AMENITIES & RECREATION

Rockin’ Jump is an all ages trampoline park that kids love. They even have special toddler jump times where the littles can shake their sillies out without getting stomped on by big kids. Or get outside to Leonard Park, a 120-acre park with three swimming pools, fields, playgrounds, and hiking trails. The Mount Kisco Country Club is a 90-year-old privately owned club with a golf course, pool, tennis courts, restaurants, and childrens programming. Burn off some of the famous Mount Kisco meals at Orangetheory Fitness.

History

The village of Mount Kisco was first known as “Cisqua” in the 1700s, and the current name wasn’t made official until 1875. Mount Kisco shares its name with the Kisco River, which flows to the Croton Reservoir. The village of Mount Kisco was originally split between the towns of Bedford and Newcastle until as recently as 1978 when was emancipated on its own.
