WELCOME TO

Ardsley

The small village of Ardsley is nestled between the Sprain Brook Parkway and the Saw Mill River Parkway, in a one-square-mile just below Elmsford, NY. With Scarsdale to its right and Dobbs Ferry to its left, Ardsley is almost (but not quite) a river town.

LIFESTYLE

Because it’s linked to the Greenburgh (population: 90,000), Ardsley’s town services are much stronger than you would expect from such a tiny village. It has its own branch of the Westchester Country Library System with programming for all ages, several town parks, ample programming such as day camps and sports camps, a community center, and fantastic annual events such as the Fireman’s Carnival, Egg Hunt, Ice Cream Social, and Summer Concert Series.

History

Route 9A runs north-to-south and contains most of the town’s commercial hot spots. It’s a historical road that goes back to the 1920s and runs from the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel in Manhattan north to Peekskill. You’ve probably already been driving on it all the time, but you may know it better in Manhattan as the Westside Highway or Henry Hudson Parkway. Once it gets up to Westchester, it resembles more of a country road than a major thoroughfare.
